Every Wednesday 3 -5pm. Hosted this month by Agnes Hay. All are warmly welcome. Drop by for conversation, poetry, music, tea, dance, happenings. Free. On 31 January there will be a Brigid Cross making workshop.

Bring a dish of food (veggie/vegan), some drink and a poem to share and celebrate the Patron Saint of Poetry.
All Torriano Folk old and new are invited to see in the start of Spring together, mark Imbolc, light candles for Candlemas, meet Lemanjá and Bride, Bridget, Brigid.

Sara Atanasiu and Imogen Garfinkel curate Cosmoscope: an exhibition. Artists from around the world question their sense of place and space, and investigate how interactions with their immediate environment affects their understanding of their/ humanity’s place in the universe. The exhibition will feature a diverse range of works. It will begin with a launch event featuring live performances. Following the exhibition, the project will be encapsulated in a digital zine.

Travel
Kentish Town overground Thameslink is open (there are many steps). Kentish Town tube station is closed until summer 2024. But Tufnell Park tube is just a 10 minute walk, or 390 bus along Brecknock Rd to Hilldrop Road stop. Buses 393, 390, 134, 214, 29, 253 stop on or near Torriano Avenue.
Donations
Many of our activities such as Torriano Teas; Zoom poetry; Fun Palace and New Factory plays are offered free in the spirit of how things should be. But we have rent and bills to pay. If you would like to support Torriano Meeting House then click here.

Torriano Meeting House is managed and run by volunteers. Come along if you would like to get involved with running Torriano Meeting House or if you have a project or event you would like to propose. Specifically, please come if you would be interested in joining the poetry programming sub-group which shares the work of booking, hosting and publicising the readers for the Sunday poetry readings.

Yes, of course, poets read regularly from the floor at the Torriano Meeting House on Sundays. There’s no mic but you don’t need one. The acoustics are very good.
